“My experience having lunch at MAD O Caribbean was comforting and amazing. Chef Iris’s smile was so inviting! I ordered the Ackee & Salt-fish w a side of fried okra and I couldn’t be happier. My taste buds threw a party. I enjoyed the art and colors I saw as I sat after placing my order. Throughout the establishment the vibrance provided me a calm and homey feel. The smell is absolutely mouthwatering upon entering these doors. Chef Irie single handedly provided the best service one could hope to receive while enjoying a meal worth the wait.”

“I can appreciate cook to order food! Not typical in a JA restaurant so I fully appreciated it when I received fresh, hot food! Flavors on point and the snapper and shrimp were fresh. The patties are delicious! I will be eating here every time I visit Jacksonville. Chef Irie is a delight. He’s friendly and can cook!!! The dining room is basic but CLEAN so that’s all that matters in my opinion.”

“Loved this place!!...food was delish!..esp. loved their fried plantains which were fresh, juicy and fried to perfection... same is true of the jerk chicken....packed with flavor and authenticity. My daughter loved the oxtail and said it was the most tender she has had..everything prepared fresh and hot. Portions were large enough to take home 4 lunch next day.. And...the owners were very congenial and generous...u can create ur own meal with addons...I added the shrimp and onions..and their tasty potatoes ...cabbage also great. ....prices also very reasonable and fair...
